Edwin Doak Mead letter to Mrs. Leland and Christmas card [manuscript], 1911 Dec 19 and n.d.

On Dec 19 1911 Mead writes that he has not been able to write sooner as he has been lecturing all week and only now can answer her letter of December 9. He has sent his "mite" to Miss Cummings for the memorial. Hearing from Mrs. Leland takes him back to the time when they were running the Mohonk Conferences and other good works. The sight of her name brings back vivid memories of the "dear old chief." There is also a Christmas card photograph of an unidentified pastoral scene with his autograph.
